Abstract:
This article takes the General Elective Course of Inner Mongolia University of "Earthquake Disasters and Disaster Prevention Education" as an example, conducts a series of questionnaires among students who have taken this course and students who have not selected this course majoring in Road and Bridge Engineering . The results show that through the study of this course, the students' understanding of earthquake prevention and disaster mitigation has significantly improved compared to before the course, while the majority of students who did not take the course lack basic knowledge of earthquake prevention and disaster mitigation. The vast majority of participating university students express a strong desire to learn about earthquake prevention and disaster mitigation. Students who possess relevant knowledge can promote the improvement of disaster prevention awareness within their entire families, thereby contributing to community disaster prevention efforts. It is the most effective way to achieve nationwide awareness of earthquake prevention and disaster mitigation.
