Abstract: Research achievements of the 1969 Bohai M_b7.4 earthquake in the past 40 years are summarized, including earthquake parameters, feature of earthquake sequence, causative structure, focal fault, regional and deep structure background, precursor phenomenon, seismic intensity distribution, earthquake disaster etc.Problems worth further study on the earthquake are also put forward.
