Abstract: The explanation of landsat photos, surface geological investigation, analysis of geological character-istics and local prospection drilling have further proved the existence, extension and activity of the Miyun-Qianmen fault.It is pointed out that the fault showed segmented characteristics in geometric pattern, active time, strength and seismicity.
