SEISMOMETER POSITION CORRECTION

The separation of seismometer and GPS antenna for timing and positioning leads to position error of seismometer,which is a very widespread phenomenon in the seismic station with seismometers located in caves.For underground seismometers,there is also 300 meters error in height.In this paper,the widespread phenomenon of seismometer location errors is analyzed under the condition of Handan networks and a simple correction method is presented,using this method,the seismometer at Shexian seismic station is corrected.Finally,the influence of position error of seismometer to earthquake location is discussed.
