Backgroud Characteristics of Hyperspectral Gas and Its Application Prospects in Earthquake Tracjing

  • Based on hyperspectral data of North China in 2004-2017, we calculate the total background field of CH4, CO, O3. They have obvious periodic characteristics on the time scale, which are mainly affected by temperature, humidity, high-altitude radiation, etc. On the spatial scale, the total amount of CH4 and CO of plain is higher than that of the mountainous area, and O3 generally shows the characteristics of decreasing with increasing latitude. It was found that 62.5% earthquake had a high value anomaly near the epicenter, the abnormal gases are mainly CH4 and CO, and the O3 anomaly is not obvious by summarization of earthquake cases of MS5.0 earthquakes in North China on RST algorithm. It is considered that the abnormal extraction of hyperspectral gas CH4 and CO by RST algorithm can be used as an auxiliary basis for earthquake prediction, and serve the earthquake tracking decision.
