STUDY ON ACTIVE FAULT DETECTION AND ASSESSMENT

The opinions on the questions in active fault detection and assessment are given. These questions include validity and accuracy of the detection method, the relation of faults crossing with their activity, the relation of horizontal and vertical motion, the relation of determination for main fault with seismic incidence, consistency of detection results, breakpoint on the fault and its recent active period, seismogenic sign and assumed earthquake, and usability of assessment results.
