DESIGN OF EARTHQUAKE DISASTER PREDICTION & EVALUATION SYSTEM IN SICHUAN PROVINCE AND ITS FUNCTION

Based on GIS technique and combined some recent achievements in engineering seismology and seismic disaster prediction and evaluation, the "Earthquake Disaster Prediction and Evaluation System in Sichuan Province" is developed.The system can predict and evaluate the damage of buildings, toll of casualty, homeless people and economic losses efficiently after a strong earthquake occurred in Sichuan Province.The results can be taken as the basis of emergency response for each level governments and related departments.
