Abstract

The spatial distribution characteristic of disastrous earthquakes in the world from 1996 to 2003 and its relation with seismicity as well as the relation of magnitudes with the original times are discussed.The results show that the disaster has no obvious statistical relation with seismicity and magnitude during the eight years, but there is some relation with original time.
